The Daily Recommended Dose

The daily recommended dose represents the optimum contribution of nutrients calculated for a medium calorie intake of up to 2,500 calories per day.

 

In case of adult men of up to sixty-four years old the daily, the recommended dose of unsaturated fats is of up sixty-five grams, while the amount of saturated fats shouldn`t cross the twenty grams limit. Men should consume up to 300 milligrams of cholesterol, 300 grams of carbohydrates, twenty-five grams of fibers, and fifty-five grams of proteins per day.

 

The recommended dose of sodium for men under sixty-five years is between 920 and 2300 milligrams. They should also consume between 1950 and 5460 milligrams of potassium, twelve milligrams of zinc, seven milligrams of iron, 320 milligrams of magnesium, 800 milligrams of calcium, 1,000 milligrams of phosphorus, 750 milligrams of Vitamin A, 1 milligram of thiamine, up to two milligrams of Vitamin B6, forty milligrams of Vitamin C, and ten milligrams of Vitamin E per day.

 

In case of women with age between nineteen and fifty-four years old, the daily recommended dose is the same for all nutrients categories, excepting the amount of proteins, which should be of forty-five grams per day. Adult women should consume up to sixteen milligrams of iron and 270 milligrams of magnesium, less than one milligram of thiamine, 1.4 milligrams of Vitamin B6, thirty milligrams of Vitamin C, and seven milligrams of Vitamin D.
