How Important Is A Drinking Water System For Your Water
By: Frances Taylor

We all know how important a part water is to our bodies, especially because our bodies are made of over 70% water. Knowing this information, how much time have you put into finding a quality drinking water system for your home? You may be surprised to learn exactly what is in our drinking water, which may lead you to move the search for a drinking water system higher on your priority list.

Some important statistics will help to show what is in out drinking water and why a drinking water system will help improve not only your health, but the overall quality of life that you enjoy. A report by the Ralph Nader Study Group found that US drinking water contains over 2,100 toxic chemicals that can lead to cancer. Does that surprise you to know that the water you thought was safe coming from your tap, can actually be causing more harm than good?

Pretty much any chemical that we use in our society will eventually end up in our water supply. The earth's natural filtration system is no longer effective at removing the toxins that we put there. One of the reasons for this is the advancement in cleaning solvents, chemicals and other unnatural products that have been created in the last 100 years. This is just one reason why using a drinking water system can be so beneficial for the health of you and your family.

Because of the scary findings about what is in our drinking water as of late, many families have turned to drinking bottled water with the belief that because it is bottled, it is somehow safer and better for you than the water coming out of your tap. Many people also believe that this bottled water is safer and cheaper than having a drinking water system in your own home. When really comparing the costs though, you may be surprised to learn that the cost of some bottled waters is more than what we are paying for gas per gallon!

The problem with bottled water is that there are no government standards that require bottled water to be any more pure, or safe than tap water. Actually, most bottled water is bottled and sold within the same state to avoid federal regulations. So the claims of bottled water coming from mountain streams, pure underground reserves, or exotic places that have yet to be hit with pollution yet is false advertising.

So before you discount purchasing a drinking water system for your home, or even your business, take these ideas into consideration. Remember what a vital part water plays in our health, and this means clean water that is free of pollutants and chemicals. Also remember that when you are shelling out cash for fancy bottled water, you are not necessarily getting anything more pure or safe than what you are able to get at home by turning on your tap. Hopefully this has made you think a little harder about what is in our drinking water.
